Looney Labs Brings International TableTop Day to DC!
(Washington, DC) On Saturday, April 11, Looney Labs, the College Park-based game company that produces the internationally-renowned card game, Fluxx, is celebrating International TableTop Day at Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital on Capitol Hill. Bring the whole gang to DC and make a day of it: enjoy the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade, visit Eastern Market, and then an afternoon of fun games, demos, door prizes and snacks at this FREE event. There will be something fun for everyone, from elementary school-aged kids to senior citizens, and experienced tabletop gamers to anyone new to the tabletop world!
Looney Labs was founded in 1997 by Kristin and Andrew Looney, a husband and wife team that gave up successful careers as aerospace engineers (they met while working at NASA) to pursue their hobby business full time. They could tell early on the true hit potential this little card game Fluxx had, so they took the jump and quit their day jobs so they could dedicate all their energy to making and promoting Andy’s designs. Now, almost 20 years later, there are over a dozen versions of Fluxx with more on the way, and fun games like Loonacy, Seven Dragons and Just Desserts have been added to the Looney Labs catalog. Looney Labs believes tabletop gaming is the perfect way to bring people together in a fun and engaging way. Fast-paced, portable, with amazing art, Looney Labs games will keep you saying, “Let’s play again!”
